RØDE NT1 5th Generation – large-diaphragm studio condenser microphone that fuses the iconic warmth and clarity of the legendary NT1 with next-generation innovation. Building on more than 30 years of heritage and millions of units sold worldwide, the NT1 5th Gen retains the classic, silky sound that made previous generations a standard in professional studios, while introducing breakthrough technology such as Dual Connect (XLR + USB), onboard DSP, and the world’s first “unclippable” 32-bit float digital output.
The NT1 5th Gen uses RØDE’s precision-engineered 1-inch HF6 gold-sputtered capsule with an exceptionally smooth frequency response, high sensitivity, tight cardioid pickup and deep, detailed lows. With an ultra-low self-noise of just 4 dBA – making it one of the quietest studio condensers in the world – and extremely high SPL handling, it delivers pristine results on vocals, spoken word, acoustic and electric instruments, percussion, piano and more.
At the heart of the NT1 5th Gen is RØDE’s patent-pending Dual Connect output, which offers both a standard 3-pin XLR and a USB-C connection in a single microphone body. This means you can use it like a traditional analog studio mic with any interface, mixer or console, or plug it directly into a computer for instant digital recording with no external interface required. Over USB, the NT1 5th Gen acts as a professional-grade audio interface with ultra-high-resolution A/D conversion (up to 192 kHz), the Revolution Preamp™ with extremely low noise and high gain, and onboard APHEX® processing.
