RØDE Podcaster – a broadcast-quality dynamic end-address USB microphone combining professional audio performance with plug-and-play simplicity. Featuring a premium 28mm neodymium dynamic capsule with tight cardioid polar pattern, the Podcaster delivers rich, broadcast-grade vocal tone with exceptional room noise rejection, making it ideal for podcasting, streaming, voice-over recording, gaming, and other speech applications. Built-in 18-bit A/D conversion operating at 48 kHz sample rate ensures pristine digital audio capture directly to computer via USB, eliminating the need for external audio interfaces, preamps, or mixers. The internal shockmount provides superior isolation from mechanical vibrations, desk bumps, and keyboard sounds, while the integrated pop filter minimizes plosives for clean, professional recordings.
Engineered with a tailored-for-voice frequency response derived from RØDE's award-winning Broadcaster microphone, the Podcaster captures warm, natural vocal characteristics with excellent clarity and presence. The tight cardioid pickup pattern effectively rejects off-axis sound, focusing exclusively on the speaker while minimizing room reflections and ambient noise – essential for untreated recording environments. A convenient 3.5mm stereo headphone output located on the microphone body enables zero-latency monitoring with dedicated volume control, allowing users to hear exactly what's being recorded without delay or echo. The status LED indicator provides visual feedback for monitoring recording levels and USB connectivity.
Housed in a robust all-metal chassis with distinctive glossy white finish, the Podcaster combines professional aesthetics with long-lasting durability. The end-address configuration allows for natural speaking position directly into the microphone, with optimal results achieved speaking slightly off-axis to further reduce plosives. Compatible with both Mac OS X (10.9 or later) and Windows (7 or later) operating systems, the Podcaster offers true plug-and-play operation with no drivers required for most applications. The microphone is bus-powered via USB, drawing power directly from the computer. Designed and manufactured in Australia, the Podcaster is backed by RØDE's industry-leading 10-year warranty, representing a professional-grade solution for content creators demanding broadcast-quality sound with maximum convenience.
