Neumann WS 47

Neumann WS 47 is a foam windscreen of open-cell polyurethane that reduces wind noise, close-range breath sounds and noise from boom movement, without affecting the polar pattern.

Speech and vocals without wind and breath

Broadcast studios, voice booths and outdoor work all produce air movement that the microphone hears as rumble and pops. The WS 47 attenuates wind noise by 22 dB and costs only about 3 dB at 15 kHz, with no interfering resonances.
