Klotz PROK030PR is a 3-metre instrument cable from the PRO ARTIST series, terminated with a straight jack on the amplifier end and a 90-degree angled jack on the instrument end. The 6.5 mm diameter cable core uses double screening — bare copper spiral shield plus conductive plastic layer — holding capacitance to 95 pF/m. At 3 metres, this cable covers the close-range setups: guitar to combo amp positioned nearby, first pedal on a board, or the final link between the last effect and the amp input where a short, controlled run is preferable to excess cable on the floor.
Short run, full spec — no filtering, no tonal compromise
Three metres at 95 pF/m puts total cable capacitance at roughly 285 pF. With typical passive pickup output impedances, that keeps the cable's low-pass corner frequency well above the audible range — meaning no high-frequency rolloff, no softened pick attack, even with high-impedance single-coil pickups that are particularly sensitive to capacitive loading. The dual-layer screen rejects induced interference from mains wiring and RF sources common on busy stages without adding capacitance in the process. The PVC jacket stays flexible throughout the cable's working life thanks to specialist plasticizers that prevent stiffening in cold environments.
Angled connector — reduced mechanical stress at the output jack
The 90-degree plug on the instrument end directs cable strain away from the guitar's output socket, reducing the bending moment that a straight plug exerts during active stage movement — particularly relevant on instruments with side-mounted or recessed output jacks. The heat-shrink anti-kink sleeve at the cable-to-connector junction on both ends protects the conductor from fatigue fractures at the point where repeated flexing causes most cable failures in regular use. Gold-plated contacts and metal nickel shells on both plugs maintain consistent low contact resistance across frequent connection cycles on tour and in the studio.
