Klotz GRG1MP00.6 is a balanced audio cable from the budget Greyhound series, just 0.6 meters long, running from a male XLR connector to a 6.3mm stereo jack plug. A 2x 0.22 mm² conductor made from high-quality 99.95% pure copper delivers a clean signal without high-frequency loss, and a rugged 6mm diameter PVC jacket protects the cores from mechanical damage despite heavy use over short distances.
A Short Cable for Point-to-Point Connections
The 0.6-meter length works well for connecting units sitting right next to each other in a rack, such as between an effects processor output and a mixer input, between two modules in the same frame, or as a short patch lead in a home studio, where a longer cable would only add clutter and looping risk. A shorter run also means lower cable capacitance, which matters for high-impedance signals that are sensitive to top-end roll-off.
A Solid Metal Connector Instead of Plastic
The metal XLR connector designed specifically for the Greyhound series, with a shorter sleeve and reinforced grip, holds the connection more securely and resists disconnection better than the plastic connectors found on cheaper entry-level cables. That construction brings a level of reliability closer to Klotz's higher-end lines, while keeping the price accessible for beginning musicians and anyone building their first rack cabling kit.
