IK Multimedia iRig Stream Mic Pro is a multi-pattern condenser microphone with a professional audio interface, 24-bit and up to 96 kHz. Two gold-sputtered 0.55 inch electret capsules work in cardioid, omnidirectional, figure-8 and stereo patterns, and the 3.5 mm aux input takes mixers and keyboards. One microphone for a talk, an interview and a live stage
A podcast with a guest, a stream with an instrument and a recording of a stage need different setups, and usually that means several microphones. The Stream Mic Pro switches between cardioid, omnidirectional, figure-8 and stereo, has a selectable 60, 100 or 200 Hz high-pass filter and a maximum level of 115 dB SPL. The microphone frequency response runs from 20 Hz to 20 kHz.
An interface that stays with the phone
The built-in interface works in 2-in/2-out or 4-in/2-out mode, with 24-bit converters and sample rates of 44.1, 48, 88.2 and 96 kHz. Microphone gain, headphone level, streaming level, mute, monitor mix, direct monitoring and Loopback+ are set on the body, and LEDs show the level. It draws power from the device over USB, or optionally from the IK PSU 5300. The package includes a table stand, mini-DIN to Lightning (60 cm) and mini-DIN to USB-C (150 cm) cables, and a 5/8 to 1/4 inch thread adapter.
