Vostok Instruments Atlas is a 3-mode filter module for Eurorack systems.
The concept of Atlas is based on the sound of Japanese classic synthesizers from the 80s with four multi-mode filters based on transistor amplification cells with some technical improvements such as reduced noise level, precise resonance compensation, and the implementation of sequentially connected inputs, which greatly simplifies some patching techniques like parallel filtering.
With three available filter modes on each channel: 4p-LP, 2p-HP, and 4p-BP, Atlas can cover almost any filtering technique, from beautiful filter sweeps to resonant patches with multi-stage steepness.
Thanks to the precise resonance circuit, each core generates a clean sine wave when self-excited. Trigger the inputs with fast trigger signals or gates, and you'll get TR-like percussive sounds, from bass drums to toms and congas.
Additionally, the module features a CV-controlled interpolating scanner circuit that smoothly morphs between each filter output, creating new shapes and timbres as you transition between channels.
