Keyboard Synthesizers – Playable Synths for Studio and Stage

Keyboard Synthesizers – Playable Synths for Studio and Stage

A keyboard synthesizer is a complete instrument — sound engine and keybed in one box, ready to play the moment you plug it in. This collection covers analog, digital and hybrid keyboard synths for studio and stage.

Semi-modular, workstation or expressive controller

A semi-modular keyboard synth like Moog Grandmother makes sound instantly but exposes patch points so you can rewire it as you learn. A workstation such as Kurzweil K2700 packs sequencing, effects and a huge sound library into one instrument built to cover a whole gig on its own. If touch and expression matter more than a traditional keybed, Expressive E Osmose 61 tracks pressure and movement per key in a way a standard synth action can't.

Where to start

New to hardware synths and want something that teaches you the fundamentals hands-on? Moog Grandmother is the one we recommend most. Need a single keyboard that covers a huge range of sounds for a gig? Kurzweil K2700 is built for exactly that.

The brands we carry

We carry Moog, Kurzweil, Waldorf, Expressive E and Oberheim.

Hear it in our Warsaw showroom

The biggest difference between us and a mail-order shop: you can hear the gear before you buy it. Our showroom at Nowogrodzka 6A/102 in Warsaw is there so you can try it on your own material, not a shop demo. Book a visit or just swing by — we'll help without the sales pitch. FAQ

Semi-modular or a standard keyboard synth?

Semi-modular if you want to learn patching and expand your sound design skills over time. A standard synth if you just want reliable, immediate sounds without a learning curve.

Is a workstation synth overkill for most players?

For a lot of players, yes — you'll use a fraction of what it offers. It earns its price when you genuinely need one instrument to cover an entire gig's worth of sounds.

Do I need MPE (expressive) capability?

Only if per-note pitch bend, pressure and slide are things you actually want to use in your playing. It's a real difference for some styles and irrelevant for others.
