Waldorf Iridium Keyboard is a hybrid synthesizer with 49 semi-weighted sensitive keys, 5 different types of synthesis for each oscillator, 3 stereo filters per voice, 6 envelopes and LFOs, as well as a 32-step sequencer.
Introducing the Iridium Keyboard - a new release from the legendary German manufacturer Waldorf Music. This is an exciting hybrid synthesizer that combines incredible synthesis capabilities, intuitive control, and professional quality.
At the core of the Iridium Keyboard is the powerful Waldorf Quantum engine, providing access to 5 different types of synthesis for each of its 3 oscillators - wavetables, virtual analog, granular/sampling, resonator, and revolutionary "Kernels" with the ability to link up to 6 sub-oscillators via FM. This variety of synthesis models allows for the creation of completely unique timbres - from harsh analog leads to captivating spectral textures and complex animated landscapes.
The filtering section is equally impressive - 3 stereo filters per voice cover all possible types of filtering, including famous Waldorf, PPG models, and more. You also get a digital formant filter, comb filter, bit reducer, ring modulator, and spectrum analyzer. Rich signal routing and panning options take processing capabilities to a new level.
The modulation capabilities of the Iridium Keyboard are limited only by your imagination. 6 envelopes, 6 LFOs, a complex modulator, and a modulation matrix with 40 slots provide incredible flexibility and variability. Support for polyphonic aftertouch on the new semi-weighted Fatar keyboard opens up fundamentally new horizons for expression and parameter control on individual notes.
The performance section includes a convenient arpeggiator, a 32-step sequencer for programming notes and parameters, modulation wheel, pitch bend, as well as 6 fully assignable macro buttons for accessing frequently used functions. MPE compatibility allows you to use the Iridium Keyboard as a true polyphonic expressive instrument.
The interface of the new synthesizer features thoughtful ergonomics. An extended control panel with one knob per function provides intuitive "tactile" control. An impressive touch display provides detailed information on the current mode and parameters. In addition to USB and MIDI, there are CV/Gate inputs for integration with modular systems.
The Iridium Keyboard comes with an extensive library of over 1000 carefully curated presets created by leading sound designers. In addition, there is 2 GB of internal memory for loading your own samples and creating new unique timbres. The total number of patch slots is 7000.
