HD 650 uses Sennheiser’s open, circumaural architecture with a special acoustic metal-mesh damping element to control airflow and reduce resonances. The driver system features a 42 mm transducer with a 38 mm diaphragm tuned for low distortion and linear extension, while the 300-ohm voice coil pairs well with dedicated headphone amplifiers.
The detachable 3 m OFC cable terminates in a 6.35 mm stereo plug; a 6.35→3.5 mm adapter is included for wider device compatibility. Contact pressure is factory-specified at 6.0 N ± 1 N for stable fit during long listening sessions.
