VideoMic Rycote is built for filmmakers, vloggers, and content creators who demand professional audio without the bulk. The supercardioid polar pattern focuses on sound directly in front of the camera while minimizing surrounding noise, making it ideal for interviews, documentary work, and run-and-gun shooting. The revolutionary Rycote Lyre shock mount is constructed from a single piece of hard-wearing thermoplastic, providing superior acoustic suspension compared to traditional elastic solutions – it will never wear out, sag, or snap.

The microphone offers versatile audio control with a selectable high-pass filter at 80Hz to eliminate low-frequency rumble from air conditioners, traffic, and environmental noise. A two-stage pad (-10dB and -20dB) allows recording of loud sound sources such as live music and motorsports without distortion. Powered by a single 9V battery providing approximately 100 hours of operation, the VideoMic Rycote includes a high-density foam windshield for outdoor recording and connects via a standard 3.5mm mini-jack output. The all-metal shoe mount features a 3/8" thread for easy attachment to boom poles or stands. Designed and manufactured in Australia, it's covered by RØDE's industry-leading 10-year warranty.
