Moog Minitaur

Moog Minitaur is a compact yet powerful analog bass synthesizer inspired by the legendary Taurus series. Designed for deep, punchy low-end tones, it offers a fast, intuitive interface with immediate access to all parameters, making it ideal for both live performance and studio production.

Minitaur features two VCOs with selectable waveforms (Sawtooth and Square), a mixer with individual volume controls for each oscillator, and a classic Moog low-pass filter with controls for Cutoff (20 Hz – 20 kHz), Resonance, and EG Amount. The Glide function with a dedicated Glide Rate knob enables smooth transitions between notes. Two separate ADS-style envelope generators (influencing VCF and VCA) include Attack, Decay/Release, and Sustain controls. The modulation section offers LFO Rate, VCO LFO Amount, and VCF LFO Amount knobs for creating everything from subtle vibrato to complex textures. Fine-tuning is available with a dedicated control for ±1 Cent adjustments.

One of Minitaur’s standout features is its full MIDI and USB integration. By connecting via USB Type B or MIDI In, users can control every parameter, store up to 128 presets, and access hidden features through the free Minitaur Editor software. Firmware version 2.2 introduces enhancements like Hard Sync between oscillators, 6 LFO waveforms, MIDI sync, and more. Every function is automatable, making Minitaur a versatile tool comparable to top-tier VST instruments. With the Poly-Chain function, up to 16 Minitaurs can be linked together to form a true polyphonic synth.

On the rear panel, you'll find 1/4" audio input and output, four 1/4" CV inputs (Pitch, Filter, Volume, Gate), a USB Type B port, and MIDI In. The package includes a 12V power adapter, user manual, and registration card.
