Elta Music SOLAR 42F is a unique analog instrument designed for creating microtonal drones and ambient textures, featuring a 5-step sequencer and a wide array of modulation and sound-shaping tools. Its interface invites spontaneous and experimental music-making, allowing users to generate massive, layered sonic atmospheres with ease.
Tailored for live performance, soundtrack composition, and theatrical scoring, SOLAR 42F draws inspiration from early 20th-century electronic instruments, particularly Leon Theremin’s "Harmonium," as well as vintage sci-fi soundtracks. It’s an enhanced version of the original SOLAR 50 model, enriched with new modulation sources and deeper sound design capabilities.
