Elektron Digitone II is a new, versatile polyphonic synthesizer from Elektron, designed with a modular workflow in mind. Four Synth Machines – More Possibilities
The Elektron Digitone II features four synth machines, each with its own unique character:
- Wavetone – a modern synthesizer with two oscillators and the ability to morph wave shapes.
- Swarmer – a super saw-type synthesizer that offers detune control and noise modulation.
- FM Tone – a classic FM machine with wide-ranging sound design capabilities.
- FM Drum – a percussion-focused FM machine, ideal for both rhythmic and melodic sounds.
Filters and Modulation
The Elektron Digitone II offers six types of filters, including Comb+ and Multi-Mode, as well as the option to place the width filter before or after the audio tracks. Each voice features an ADSR envelope and three assignable LFOs, allowing for deep modulation and experimentation.
Advanced Effects and Sound Control
On the FX page, you'll find tools like Lush Delay, Supervoid Reverb, and Panoramic Chorus that can enhance the sound. Additionally, users can utilize effects such as bit reduction, overdrive, and sample rate reduction. All of this provides vast possibilities for sound shaping.
Elektron Sequencer – The Heart of Creativity
The Elektron Digitone II is equipped with a 128-step sequencer that allows complete control over each step. Features like the Euclidean Sequencer, parameter assignment to steps, step conditions, and retrig make composing and performing incredibly dynamic.
