At Superbooth 2025, Doepfer unveiled six new Eurorack modules – ranging from a ratcheting analog sequencer and a Buchla-style random voltage generator to an updated ribbon controller. The new releases are expected to hit the market throughout spring and summer 2025.

New Doepfer Modules for 2025:
- A-155-2 Miniature Racheting Analog Sequencer
- A-149-3 Fluctuating Random Voltages
- A-119-2 Dual Input/Amplifier
- A-145-2 Slim LFO
- A-188-9 High Speed VCO
- A-198-2 Ribbon Controller II
A-155-2 – Miniature Analog Sequencer with Ratcheting
The new A-155-2 is a compact 8-step analog sequencer featuring ratcheting (x2, x3, x4) and momentary buttons for activating individual steps. It offers eight direction modes (up, down, pendulum, random) and supports 8 presets. The module provides CV, gate, clock, and reset outputs, and includes a MIDI output header for integration with modules like the A-190-9. Release expected in summer. Price: €180 (standard), €200 (vintage version).
A-149-3 – Fluctuating Random Voltages (Buchla-style)
Based on the classic Buchla A-149, this module offers enhanced control over parameters like triangle oscillator frequency and noisiness, S&H correlation, and manual or automatic clock frequency. Price: €265, availability: May 2025.
A-119-2 – Dual Input Amplifier
An updated version of the popular A-119, without the envelope follower. Instead, it features two independent amplifiers with separate gain controls and supports stereo signals. Price: €65, availability: April.
A-145-2 – Slim LFO
A slimline version of the A-145 LFO, with identical features and connectivity in a narrower panel. Perfect for space-limited systems. Price: €110, availability: April.
A-188-9 – High Speed VCO
An ultra-fast oscillator (15 kHz – 500 kHz) designed to work with BBD modules (A-188-1/2), ideal for Karplus-Strong string synthesis. Also functions as a regular VCO with saw, triangle, and pulse waveforms. Price: €150, available now.
A-198-2 – Ribbon Controller II
The successor to the A-198, designed for use with Doepfer’s Trautonium Manual ribbon controller. Features include 9 user-programmable quantizations (shown as an octave display), switchable quantized/unquantized modes, retrigger functionality, optional MIDI, and more. A significant upgrade over the previous version.
