is a powerful synth workstation with sequencer, sampler, audio interface and extensive synt ezator functions. The FANTOM-07 skilfully combines the mobility and low Gewicht of the FA-07 with the workflow and sound design of the FANTOM-7- making it ideal for anyone who wants to travel a lot with a modern workstation. The extensive and expandable sound memory contains more than 3,500 high-quality sounds from various circles, as well as more than 90 of the best modern drum kits . The sound range consists largely of Roland's current generation of sounds: ZenCore, SuperNATURAL and Virtual Tone Wheel Organ. In addition, the sound archive is expandable and compatible with Roland Cloud content . The sequencer features real-time sequencing, TR/step sequencing and a clip sequencer. OneShots and Loops can be playfully triggered using the pads in the sampler and incorporated into your own creations.
Another highlight in the FANTOM-07 are the scene memories , which are organised into four banks of 128 slots each. These act as high-speed creative memories and store everything you are working on. Whether it's a handful of patterns, a track you've started, a sound you're still creating, various settings related to your current project in your DAW, or all of the above at once, handwritten notes and ''this needs to be turned on because I can't save'' are definitely a thing of the past. Thrilling synth sounds, rich bass, strings, organ, piano, guitar, brass, choir, wind instruments and much more - the choice in FANTOM is simply amazing! The typical Roland sound architecture has been retained, in which each sound can consist of up to four parts. However, the parts correspond to the complete, extended synthesiser voice on the FANTOM website, including their own oscillator and filter models, envelopes, modulation assignments and, of course, their own volume and pan settings.

just waiting to change and refine the generated sounds individually or in parallel, respectively in series, per part. The selection of effects such as delay, reverb, chorus, flanger, distortion and real uniques with wow character leaves nothing to be desired. In addition, each part has its own equaliser. The main compressor is located above the main output. The microphone input is equipped with its own effects processor, which largely overlaps with the effects selection of the synth part, and also has a 32-band Vocoder implemented.

Sequencer and samplerThe

offers parallel different recording and composing concepts , which perfectly support ''typical genre'' recording methods. Instead of recording all tracks in one pattern ''as before'', FANTOM offers the possibility of freely combining 16 tracks and using them independently . The tracks can be arranged classically linearly or in a clip sequence (comparable to Ableton Live). For rhythm programming, the TR/step sequencer , which also masters sub and ratching steps, is ideal. A perfectly playable piano or funky organ can be recorded in real time, optionally with or without note quantisation. The same applies to the 16 pads, which produce individual sounds from an internal sound generator or their own samples. This kind of pad operation is familiar from Akai's MPC series. The sampler is also hidden behind the pads - with eight times polyphony, four banks of 16 pads each can be assigned. Sounds and Loops can be up to 2 GB in size, time stretching is of course also offered for Loops. Similarly, the richly equipped Arpeggiator page and the Chord Memory function are among FANTOM's sophisticated playback aids.

Full integration with DAWThe

can be fully integrated into

the

workflow of

a

DAW (including Ableton Live, Logic Pro, MainStage) . Thanks to the USB audio interface, 16 stereo tracks can be recorded, edited and, above all, processed in parallel on the computer. This allows maximum convenience and sound quality with minimal cabling. Many DAW functions can also be operated directly on the FANTOM. Thanks to several USB ports , in addition to the connection to the computer and an external storage medium such as a USB stick, further devices can of course be connected.
