Novation refreshes its popular Launchpad Pro and adds new features-never before has a controller been so deeply integrated with Ableton! Novation Launchpad Pro MKIII Grid Performance now supports Transport Control, Tap Temp and Print to Clip, allowing you to record MIDI sequences directly into Ableton. The Capture MIDI mode can also record each input in the background, ensuring that no idea is lost. In addition, the new Chord mode allows complex chords to be created directly from the pads. This gives users access for the first time to an intuitive composition tool for expressive surface sounds.

As before, all pads on the Novation Launchpad Pro MKIII Grid Performance can be completely freely programmed

using the

included editor, and assignments can be visualised using

an

individual colour palette . You can make up to 8 multiple assignments and switch between them in real time (It's those coloured buttons just below the pads). The pads themselves have been redesigned from their predecessor to support mono and polyphonic aftertouch, are velocity-sensitive and automatically detect when a drum beat occurs - the Drum kit is then displayed on the pads. Conversely, clips from Ableton can also be visualised in colour on the grid.

Launchpad Pro MKIII Grid Performance is the ideal controller for creating music using a computer or hardware . The 4-track sequencer with 32 polyphonic steps controls software instruments, hardware synthesisers, drum machines or an entire modular system via MIDI-Out and USB - or all at the same time. Bass lines or leads can also be played through the pads without any problems, as the Launchpad automatically adjusts the input to the scale and key of the song.

Direct access to all MIDI functions is possible at any time via the parameter buttons on the right side. The user can easily achieve a livelier performance through the probability, mutation and microstep functions . The quantisation function, sequence change as well as direct access to velocity are naturally included. In addition, program and parameter commands can be sent directly to your hardware and to Ableton. Novation Launchpad Pro MKIII Grid-Performance is thus a complete control centre that combines all the functions of your equipment in one place - even without a computer : sequences are stored directly on the device.
