Dreadbox Hades Reissue – monophonic analog bass synthesizer with a powerful low-end character, featuring one VCO with pulse-width modulation, dual sub-oscillators, OTA-based filter, distortion, and VCA, all packed in a desktop/Eurorack-compatible format.

The Hades Reissue brings back Dreadbox's revered analog bass engine with an updated housing and modern connectivity, including USB power and Eurorack compatibility (42 HP). Its single oscillator offers both saw and pulse waves with PWM, followed by two sub-oscillators tuned at -1 and -2 octaves, ideal for thick and aggressive bass lines. The 18 dB OTA lowpass filter imparts a smooth and slightly smeared character, reminiscent of vintage Roland designs. Following the filter is a versatile OTA distortion circuit ranging from subtle warmth to full-on saturation. The final stage is a fast-reacting OTA-based VCA.

Modulation is handled by a triangle-wave LFO with a range from ultra-slow (10 minutes) to audio-rate (3 kHz), an ADSR envelope for the filter, and an A/R envelope for the VCA. With 9 CV/Gate connections, the Hades Reissue opens up creative patching options such as filter keytracking, PWM modulation, tremolo effects, and more. Its compact form factor and punchy analog sound make it an ideal choice for bass-driven compositions.
