Accurate stereo image, matched at the source

Channel mismatch is the most common reason a stereo pair fails to deliver a coherent image. LEWITT addresses this at the production stage rather than leaving it to post-processing: both microphones enter the set only after confirming their frequency responses and sensitivities are effectively identical. In practice, this means that panning differences in ORTF, X/Y, or A/B configurations reflect the actual acoustic space — not transducer variation. The cardioid polar pattern with a flat, extended response from 20 Hz to 20 kHz makes the LCT 440 PURE pair a reliable choice for overhead drum recording, stereo piano, acoustic guitar, choirs, and room mics. The deliberate absence of on-body pad and HPF switches keeps the signal path clean — any filtering or attenuation decisions are made at the preamp or in the DAW, not through a mechanical contact switch.
