LEWITT LCT 440 PURE is a large-diaphragm FET studio condenser microphone with a 1" true condenser capsule and a fixed cardioid polar pattern. LEWITT's bestselling model: no switches, no PAD, no onboard filters – the same capsule and circuit design as the higher-end LCT series models, stripped down to its essential form. Record-ready sound from the first take.
Same Capsule, No Unnecessary Controls
The LCT 440 PURE was built by removing everything that isn't required for a great recording. The 3 µm gold-sputtered 1" Mylar capsule is the same transducer found in LEWITT's more expensive LCT models – no mechanical or electronic compromises at the capsule level. The absence of PAD and low-cut filter switches is a deliberate design decision: the microphone handles up to 140 dBSPL without attenuation, and any low-frequency management happens at the interface or console. Self-noise of 7 dB(A) with a 133 dB(A) dynamic range covers the full range from quiet whisper-level sources to loud transient sources. A subtle lift around 4 kHz and 13 kHz adds natural presence and air to vocals and instruments – gentle enough not to sound harsh, pronounced enough to sit in a mix without extra EQ.
Compact Format and Camera-Friendly Design
At 138 × 52 × 36 mm the LCT 440 PURE is among the smallest large-diaphragm microphones in the LCT series. The compact profile and the absence of a bulky pop filter blocking the face make it practical for on-camera recording, streaming, and desktop podcast setups – the camera captures the performer, not just a microphone grille. The magnetic pop filter clips directly to the shockmount, requiring no separate stand. The set includes a shockmount, magnetic pop filter, foam windscreen, and a leather carrying pouch.
