The 32-channel Wunderbar with 40 monitor paths sits at the practical center of the lineup — large enough to handle serious multitrack sessions without splitting groups or bouncing channels, yet compact enough for a well-designed control room without the footprint of a 48- or 56-channel frame. A single Powerbar PSU handles this configuration with fully isolated DC voltage and audio paths, and the 40-monitor count gives engineers complete inline flexibility throughout tracking and overdub sessions. Every unit is hand-built to order, with a fully discrete Class-A signal path and transformer balancing at every stage.

Wunderbahn Bus Architecture and Signal Routing

The Fully Balanced Busing Scheme removes ground from the audio path entirely, resulting in a measurable increase in dynamic range and a lower noise floor — without softening transients or coloring the dry signal. The stereo bus section, the Wunderbahn, provides three independent amplifier flavors: Wunder, Neve 1272, and API 312. Each operates as a standalone mix bus, or all three can be cascaded simultaneously with proportions set by six master faders in the center section. Every one of the 32 channels carries transformer-balanced Direct Outputs and Insert Send/Return loops. The 1046 Routing Modules are fully transformer-balanced Class-A Discrete, featuring a flip-able monitor fader, six group buses with illuminated switches, four aux sends switchable pre/post, Pan Defeat, 48V phantom power, and Opto Silent Mute.

D-Sub Connectivity and DAW Integration

In Super D format, all connections across each eight-channel section run on D-Sub 25 connectors: Mic Input, Line Input, Direct Output, Routing Module Input, Insert Send, Insert Return, DAW Input, and DAW Mult. This wiring architecture keeps the back of the console clean and makes hybrid analog/DAW workflows significantly faster to patch and reconfigure. Channel strip EQ is available as PEQ2 or PEQ4 four-band modules, with mixed configurations supported within a single frame. The Exquisite Trim package covers the end caps, meter bridge, and armrest: 1.5" solid hardwood (Oak, Walnut, or Roasted Coffee Bean Birch) with an inlaid logo, paired with Black or Brown Top Grain leather along the full armrest length.
