Waves SoundGrid IONIC 16 is a premium SoundGrid stagebox (16 in / 12 out) designed to deliver uncompromising audio quality for live sound systems, specifically tailored for integration with the eMotion LV1 mixer. At its core are 16 proprietary Waves Signature Preamps, featuring fully discrete analog circuits. These preamps deliver maximum headroom, lightning-fast transient response, and an incredibly low noise floor. A unique feature of the IONIC 16 is its selectable input impedance (Classic 2kΩ / Modern 7kΩ) and optional analog-modeled harmonic enhancement per channel, allowing for a warm, "tube-like" character right at the input stage.
Built for the rigors of the road, the stagebox is housed in a rugged 2U metal chassis. In addition to 16 mic/line inputs (Combo XLR/TRS), it offers 12 crystal-clear line outputs with selectable levels (+18/+24 dBu), stereo AES input/output, and two independent, powerful headphone outputs. Thanks to SoundGrid connectivity (1GB Ethernet), the IONIC 16 integrates seamlessly into the Waves network, ensuring ultra-low latency and full remote control of all preamp parameters directly from the LV1 console.
