Sälen NX 6 Tremolo Plini Edition features many iconic features of the popular Sälen Jazz model but is additionally equipped with the EGS Rev 7 tremolo bridge for increased flexibility with vibrato effects and sound textures.
There are two versions available: one with the .strandberg* Plini Edition bridge humbucker, and the other with the Suhr SSH+. Michael Frank's Plini Edition has a warmer, balanced, and modern sound, while the Suhr SSH+ offers a more traditional humbucker sound with slightly more output and pronounced high mids.
The rest of the specifications are identical: a Suhr Classic T single coil at the neck, a 3-way switch with custom winding, and a single volume control for a rich selection of humbucking and single-coil sounds across any genre and playing style with a minimalist design. The unique Sälen body combines classic and modern styles, visually appealing and ergonomic.
The Sälen NX 6 Tremolo Plini Edition was developed in collaboration with Plini to combine stylistic versatility and minimalism. The EGS Pro Rev 7 tremolo provides a wide range of vibrato effects and textures previously only possible on the Boden. It is reliable, operates smoothly, and stays in tune.
The Plini Edition/Suhr SSH+ at the bridge and Suhr Classic T at the neck cover a range from heavy riffs to warm twang. The 3-way switch wiring is custom, and the sound is responsive to volume changes.
