Mackie ProFX12v3+ is a 12-channel analog studio and recording mixer with a USB-C 2x4 audio interface, bidirectional Bluetooth with Mix Minus, and the upgraded GigFX+ effects engine – the largest model in the ProFXv3+ series, combining a full live sound routing set with modern streaming and recording workflows.
Seven Onyx mic preamps deliver up to 60 dB of gain with an EIN of –126 dBu across four mono channels (1–4) via XLR/TRS combo inputs and three stereo line pairs (5/6, 7/8, 9/10) via 1/4" L/R jacks. Channel 11/12 uses a 3.5 mm stereo mini-jack input, switchable to the USB 3/4 DAW return when needed. Channels 1–4 carry Hi-Z switches for direct instrument connection, a 100 Hz low-cut filter (18 dB/oct.), +48V phantom power, and single-knob analog compression. A 3-band EQ (±15 dB at 80 Hz, 2.5 kHz, and 12 kHz) is present on every channel.
Two aux sends, a subgroup bus, and a dedicated Bluetooth channel
Two independent aux sends per channel allow two simultaneous monitor mixes to run in parallel – a vocal wedge mix and a separate instrument fold-back, for example – without affecting the front-of-house output. The stereo subgroup bus with per-channel assignment enables grouped fader control over sections such as keyboards or backing vocals, useful for fast level management during live sets. The dedicated Bluetooth channel, with its own volume and EQ, handles both music streaming and phone call integration. The Mix Minus function returns the mix to the caller without their own audio, eliminating echo on podcast interviews and live call-ins without any additional processing gear.
Three USB-C recording modes and GigFX+ on an LCD screen
The USB-C 2x4 interface records and plays back at up to 24-bit/192 kHz with three switchable recording modes. Standard captures the full main mix including GigFX+ processing. Interface sends the dry signal from channels 1–2 to the DAW, bypassing all effects for clean-slate post-production. Loopback combines the mixer signal with computer audio in a single stream, removing feedback during live streams or backing-track performances. The GigFX+ engine provides 12 user-editable effect presets with real-time parameter editing and saving on the full-colour LCD. Latency-free direct monitoring includes a blend control between the analog input and the DAW return for comfortable overdub sessions. Included software: Waveform OEM and the 16-plugin DAW Essentials Collection.
