The FreePlay LIVE fills a specific gap: enough output for a coffeehouse gig, busking set, outdoor presentation or rehearsal, without hauling a full PA rig. The molded ABS enclosure with coated metal grille houses a Class D amplifier, a dual-ported acoustic chamber and a built-in lithium-ion battery pack. AC and battery modes deliver the same performance – no trade-off in sound quality between the two.
Built-in mixer and DSP without reaching for your phone
Two rear-panel combo XLR/TRS inputs handle microphones, guitars, keyboards and DI sources simultaneously. The 1/8" AUX input covers playback devices and phones. The balanced 1/4" monitor output (pre-master) feeds a second powered speaker or a mixer in the signal chain. At the hardware level, two voicing modes are accessible directly on the panel: LIVE (tuned for vocals and instruments) and MUSIC (EQ curve optimized for playback). Full control – 3-band EQ per channel, reverb, system limiter and stereo pairing with a second FreePlay unit – is unlocked through the free FreePlay Connect app for iOS and Android.
Mic stand mounting and stereo pairing
The included mic stand adapter mounts the FreePlay LIVE directly onto any standard microphone stand – removing the need for a separate speaker stand and putting the sound source at ear level for solo performers. Two FreePlay units can be wirelessly paired as a stereo system or distributed separately in multi-room mode. Frequency response reaches 60 Hz – 20 kHz with a maximum SPL of 115 dB.
