This mounting accessory solves one of the most mundane but critical problems in miking a drum kit — keeping a microphone locked in a precise position on a tom or percussion instrument through an entire show or session, despite vibration and stick impact. Molded from flexible plastic, the DTP RC mount is fitted specifically to the DTP 340 TT's body, so the microphone doesn't rotate or drift out of angle under drumhead vibration.

Precise Tom Positioning Without Slipping

A common problem with generic mic clips is mechanical play that lets the microphone gradually creep out of its set position during heavy playing. DTP RC solves this with a design shaped for the angle and height typical of tom and percussion miking, holding the microphone steady even under a hard hit to the head. The flexible mount material also damps some of the mechanical vibration transferred from the drum shell to the capsule, cutting down on unwanted resonance in the signal.

Mounting Flexibility Without Extra Adapters

A recurring issue when building out a drum mic setup is thread mismatches between stands, rim clips, and boom arms. DTP RC supports both 3/8" and 5/8" standards, allowing the microphone to mount directly onto a standard rim clip or a conventional mic stand without buying a separate adapter.
