KETRON MIDI PEDALBOARD 13 NOTES K8 is a dynamic MIDI bass pedalboard with 13 pedals laid out like piano keys, giving you a full octave of hands-free playing. It is 8-voice polyphonic and velocity-sensitive, so it transmits not only pitch but also how hard you press (Key Velocity). Through its MIDI Out it works with any keyboard, module or computer that supports MIDI, including Ketron MS, X, XD, SD and Audya arrangers as well as Hammond-style organs.
Foot bass for accordionists and guitarists
A player on accordion or guitar has both hands occupied yet still needs a bass line and accompaniment control. The K8 takes over the bass part and left-hand chord triggering for an arranger module, letting you drive the style with your feet without interrupting your playing. For keyboard players and organists it serves as a foot-played lower bass octave, exactly as in a classic organ setup.
Full MIDI control with no extra gear
You select the MIDI channel by holding the MIDI CHANNEL switch and pressing the pedal that matches channel 1 to 13 (channel 02 by default). The Transposer and Note Shift functions let you transpose the pedalboard in semitones, with a +/-12 range set via the C1 and C2 pedals. A separate Sustain input accepts a footswitch and transmits sustain. The solid, heavy 7.5 kg body keeps the unit stable during energetic stage playing.
