Joranalogue Fold 6 is a wave folder that opens up new horizons for creating rich harmonic content in timbres within modular systems. Unlike filters, folders are designed to fold the signal multiple times, generating additional harmonics.
Unique 6-stage hybrid series/parallel topology
For the first time, Fold 6 introduces a 6-stage hybrid series/parallel topology, combining the advantages of both types of folders in just 4 HP. Having primary (series) and alternate (parallel) outputs provides access to virtually all possible tones of wave folding in one module.
Enhanced signal processing
To create saturated, overdriven sounds at high folding coefficients, a built-in symmetrical soft clipper is provided, limiting output signals to 10 V peak-to-peak. The Shape parameter allows for smoothly transforming the folded waves into pulses for added harmonic richness.
Flexible patching capabilities
Two inputs for mixing audio signals or adding constant voltage for asymmetric folding. Symmetry can also be manually adjusted. Both folding parameters (Fold and Shape) allow for voltage modulation for continuous timbre changes.
Going beyond conventional signal processing, Fold 6 is ideal for creating feedback loops, CV folding, or frequency multiplication.
