Fostex ET-RP4.4BL2Y is an optional balanced Y-cable with a 4.4 mm TRRRS (5-pole Pentaconn) plug at the amplifier end and two independent 3.5 mm TS plugs at the earcup end — one per side. It is designed exclusively for the T60RPmk2 and T60RPmk2CL, which use the dual 2-pole 3.5 mm TS per-cup connection system introduced with the mk2 generation. The conductor is high-purity OFC, connectors are gold-plated, and the jacket is flexible PVC.
T60RPmk2 earcup connector system and what it enables
The T60RPmk2 replaced the proprietary cup connector of the original T60RP with standard 2-pole 3.5 mm TS sockets on both left and right housings — one per cup, independent of each other. This design improves recabling compatibility across third-party and OEM accessories without adapters. ET-RP4.4BL2Y mirrors the dual-socket Y topology of the stock unbalanced cable while replacing the source-end 6.3 mm TRS with a 4.4 mm Pentaconn, completing a fully balanced signal path. Each channel runs on an isolated conductor pair from the earcup socket to the amplifier plug, with no shared ground at the Y-split. The ET-RP4.4BL2Y uses two independent 3.5 mm TS (2-pole) plugs matching the T60RPmk2 and T60RPmk2CL dual-socket system.
