Driving a Modular Rig Directly From the DAW
The usual obstacle to integrating Eurorack with a digital workstation is that standard audio outputs are AC-coupled and strip out the DC component needed for CV control. Pulse16 CV solves this with DC-coupling on all 16 analog outputs, so a CV plugin in Ableton Live, Max, or a similar environment can directly drive gates, sequencers, and module parameters without extra converter hardware. It's worth noting the inputs remain standard and cannot accept control voltages — CV capability applies only to the output path.
High Channel Count Without Compromising Conversion Quality
When working with a modular setup, the number of required outputs grows quickly, and converter quality can't be a trade-off. Pulse16 CV provides a full 16 analog inputs and 16 analog outputs on TRS connectors, backed by ADAT ports running in SMUX mode at 96kHz, allowing the full channel count to be maintained even at higher sample rates. Cirrus Logic converters paired with a temperature-compensated precision clock and a fanless design deliver consistent, low-noise performance whether the signal is heading to a mix bus or into a modular's CV jack.
