Audeze LCD-MX4
Open-back headphones Audeze LCD-MX4
At the RMAF 2017 exhibition, Audeze introduced a new model of full-size planar-magnetic headphones – Audeze LCD-MX4. These headphones are designed for professionals and are a modification of the flagship Audeze LCD-4 model.
The foundation of the Audeze LCD-MX4 construction is the patented Fluxor magnet array, focusing the magnetic field intensity of 1.5 Tl on a lightweight diaphragm with a 20-ohm voice coil. This model is perfect for users who don't have a separate powerful amplifier – it can be easily powered by a laptop, mixer, or computer audio interface.
The new lightweight Audeze LCD-MX4 headphones have durable cups made of a magnesium alloy and a headband made of carbon fiber. Significantly lighter than the LCD4 model, the new MX4 headphones are perfect for extended mixing sessions or professional listening for many hours.
The Audeze LCD-MX4 model perfectly combines the advantages of the LCD-X and LCD-4 headphones: it has a highly sensitive diaphragm and voice coil from the LCD-X, and, like the LCD-4, it creates a magnetic field of exceptionally high intensity. However, unlike the LCD-X or LCD-4, the LCD-MX4 creates a different soundstage – taking into account the acoustics of the room where the listener is.
