Allen & Heath ZED-10FX
Allen & Heath ZED-10FX is a compact mixer console with 4 microphone preamps, a digital effects unit, and a USB port for connecting to a computer for recording in a DAW.
The ZED-10FX can be used for live performances as well as in the studio. The console features a USB port that allows you to connect it to a PC and Mac for recording directly in digital studios (DAWs) with high sound quality.
The first 4 channels have XLR microphone inputs and TRS 1/4" line inputs. The TRS inputs on channels 3-4 have high impedance and are made using Class A field-effect transistors, powered by the built-in 48V phantom power. By connecting a guitar to such an input, you will get a natural and warm sound and preserve the character of your instrument in the recording.
Channel 5 features stereo RCA and stereo TRS 1/4" inputs, while channel 6 also has a stereo TRS 1/4" input. An additional pair of TRS 1/4" outputs labeled "Playback" is provided for audio devices.
The console outputs are presented with stereo XLR, RCA, and TRS 1/4" connectors. Additionally, there is a headphone output available.
The first 4 channels on the console feature a responsive 3-band EQ with a parametric midrange using the MusiQ system (providing you with the most useful frequency values).
There is also an effects unit that includes 16 delays and reverbs. These are controlled by 3 buttons with 9 LED displays. You can quickly adjust delay time or reverb level in the mix. Using this effects unit is as simple and convenient as using basic effects pedals. To adjust the effects parameters, press the Tap button and change their values using the "up"/"down" buttons.
