The Wunderbar is a fully custom, hand-built analog console centered around one architectural decision that no other classic-format desk offers: the Wunderbahn — three independent stereo bus flavors derived from Wunder Audio's own circuit, the Neve 1272, and the API 312. This 40-channel configuration with 48 monitor paths and dual Powerbar PSU is sized for serious tracking rooms and extended mix sessions where power stability and monitor depth are non-negotiable.

Three Stereo Buses and Fully Balanced Signal Architecture

The Fully Balanced Busing Scheme buffers ground out of the audio path entirely, which translates directly into increased dynamic range and reduced noise floor across all 40 channels. Every channel carries transformer-balanced Direct Outputs and Insert Send/Return loops. The three stereo bus amplifiers — Wunder, 1272, and 312 — operate independently or cascade into each other, letting you route drums through the API character while vocals run through the Neve texture simultaneously. The 1046 Routing Modules are fully transformer-balanced Class-A Discrete, featuring a channel fader that flips with the monitor fader, six group buses with illuminated switches, four aux sends switchable pre/post, Pan Defeat, 48V phantom, and Opto Silent Mute on every channel.

Dual PSU Headroom and Exquisite Build

Two independent Powerbar PSUs provide isolated DC voltage and audio paths — essential when all 40 channels run simultaneously at full load. The Exquisite Trim package means 1.5" solid hardwood side panels and meter bridge (Oak, Walnut, or Roasted Coffee Bean Birch) with inlaid logo, paired with a Black or Brown Top Grain leather armrest. The console is assembled by a team of over a dozen specialists — cable builders, machinists, electronic engineers, and cabinetmakers — all working to the client's exact specifications. Channel strip EQ is configured with PEQ2 or PEQ4 four-band modules, or any combination of both within the same frame.
