Wolff Audio Sunset Sound Tutti – a legendary microphone and instrument preamplifier in the 500 Series format, created in collaboration between Paul Wolff and Sunset Sound as a tribute to its founder, Tutti Camarata.

The Tutti is a faithful recreation of the original preamps from the Sunset Sound Studio 1 console, used to record legends like The Doors, Led Zeppelin, and Prince. The module was meticulously designed to capture the character and warmth of vintage gear, utilizing discrete dual 990 op-amps and specially recreated Cinemag input/output transformers designed by David Geren, the creator of the originals. The result is a sound with a strong, punchy midrange and subtle harmonic distortion when driven harder.

The preamp offers over 60 dB of gain, adjustable in 10 dB steps, with an additional ±6 dB trim for fine-tuning. A continuously variable output fader allows for creative input saturation without clipping the next device in the chain. With a flat frequency response from 10 Hz to 60 kHz and massive headroom (+28 dBu), the Tutti excels on both vocals and instruments, adding a touch of the Golden Age of rock 'n' roll to any session.
