Telegrapher Hippo

Telegrapher Hippo is an active 10-inch reference studio subwoofer designed to perfectly complement the new Raccoon and Panda monitors, as well as other nearfield and midfield systems. Like the rest of the new "animal" series, the Hippo utilizes a passive radiator design instead of a traditional ported enclosure. This approach eliminates port turbulence noise and delivers fast, controlled sub-bass with excellent transient definition, which is essential for critical studio monitoring.

The unit is driven by a powerful 250W Class-D amplifier, capable of producing a maximum sound pressure level (SPL) of 102 dB. The Hippo features a fully analog signal path, ensuring zero latency and avoiding phase discontinuities associated with digital processing. The rear panel offers a suite of professional integration tools, including a variable crossover (30–300 Hz), continuous phase control (0-180 degrees), and a polarity switch, allowing for precise alignment with satellite speakers and room acoustics.
