SSQ XX3 Event is a three-metre balanced XLR–XLR cable from Polish manufacturer Sound Station Quality, built for stage and studio use. One end terminates in a 3-pin male XLR with gold-plated pins, the other in a 3-pin female XLR with a metal locking latch — the standard microphone cable configuration, ready to use without any adapters.
Critical failure points addressed from the factory
The junction between connector and cable body is the first place that fails in practice — especially on the road, where cables are coiled and uncoiled dozens of times per tour. The SSQ XX3 Event applies heat-shrink sleeves to both ends, stiffening the cable precisely at that stress point and reducing the risk of conductor fracture under repeated bending. The female XLR carries a metal locking latch that secures the connector in the socket, eliminating accidental disconnections during a performance where a tug on the cable would otherwise pull the mic or interface plug free. The cross-braided copper shield achieves a minimum 90% coverage density: at three metres of cable length in an environment with lighting rigs and mains cabling running nearby, the difference between 30% and 90% shield coverage is audible in the noise floor. A blue Velcro strap is supplied with each cable for fast, organised coiling after a show.Application and operating range
An XLR–XLR balanced cable covers every path requiring balanced transmission: dynamic or condenser microphone (including phantom power +48V) to mixer, audio interface to studio monitors, mixer outputs to active PA speakers.
