Squarp Instruments Hapax is the flagship polychronic performance sequencer that redefines hardware MIDI and CV sequencing. As the first device in its class to fully support MIDI Polyphonic Expression (MPE), Hapax combines a powerful sequencer, looper, rhythm generator, real-time effects processor, MIDI controller, and complete CV interface in one instrument. At its core lies a dual ARM processor architecture that enables two independent projects to run simultaneously (dual-project), allowing for seamless live set transitions without interruption. A 2mm CNC aluminum panel, 128 RGB pads, and dual OLED displays create an unparalleled combination of aesthetics and functionality.

Each of Hapax's 16 tracks features 16 independent patterns and up to 7 real-time effects (arpeggiator, harmonizer, euclidean, randomizer, swing, chance, scales), while live performance modes—including an isomorphic scale layout, chord generator, and drum view—deliver expressive performance capabilities at the highest level. The 128-pad RGB matrix and dual OLED screens enable intuitive operation during music creation. A recording resolution of 192ppqn guarantees microtonal precision for both MIDI data (including MPE) and CV signals. The Hapax is fully compatible with the Squarp Hermod+ module for further system integration.
