SOYUZ Microphones 1973 is a studio condenser microphone with a cardioid polar pattern, a 023 Bomblet capsule, and a -10 dB / -20 dB Pad switch.
1973 is an affordable model of the legendary SOYUZ microphones, embodying the idea of creating a "people's microphone" with high quality at a reasonable price.
During development, engineers optimized the design by including only the most essential components. This allowed them to make the microphone more accessible while maintaining the high performance characteristics for which the SOYUZ brand is renowned.
The 1973 model is inspired by the best examples of transistor microphones from the "golden age" and features a capsule from the famous Bomblet series. This capsule was originally developed at the AKG factory in 1953, then modified at the Soviet LOMO plant in the 1970s, and in 2015, SOYUZ engineers reimagined its classic design.
