Solton VB 20

Solton VB 20 — a set of threaded mounting bars for bolting the top cabinet to the bass enclosure in Solton column systems such as Twin Array. A stacked PA rig on tour needs to go together the same way every time, regardless of who is setting up the stage. VB 20 is the mechanical link between the top and the subwoofer: a pair of threaded bars that pass through the mounting inserts of both enclosures and are tightened from the outside, with no extra brackets or angle plates involved. The result is a rigid, coaxially aligned acoustic coupling between the two elements, ready for fast transport and breakdown.

A Stable Stack Without Brackets or Angle Plates

Bolting a top onto a subwoofer with a loose bracket ends in cabinet buzz and lost acoustic coupling at higher SPL. VB 20 removes that variable by joining both enclosures directly through their threaded mounting holes, pulling the contact surfaces together across their full area. That arrangement limits vibration transfer between sections and keeps the stack's geometry stable even under full-power operation.

Setup and Teardown Without a Workshop

A touring crew doesn't have time to hunt for the right bolts or brackets for each individual stack. VB 20 bars are factory-matched to the mounting inserts on the top and subwoofer of a given series, so a tech simply inserts and tightens them by hand or with a hex key, with no improvised fastening at every stage setup.
