Shure GLXD16+E-Z4

Shure GLXD16+E-Z4 – dual-band digital wireless system for guitar and bass in a pedalboard format, comprising a GLXD6+ receiver, a GLXD1+ bodypack, and a WA305 instrument cable, in the European version. The system runs simultaneously on 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz, together offering more than 208 MHz of available bandwidth, over double the width offered by the earlier single-band GLX-D generation. The stompbox-format receiver drops straight into a pedalboard slot, replacing both the standard instrument cable and a separate tuner pedal thanks to a built-in tuner with strobe and needle modes and an adjustable reference pitch of 432-447 Hz. The Z4 variant covers globally license-free frequencies, so the system needs no paperwork when touring abroad.

Two bands, no dropouts on a crowded stage

True digital diversity uses two antennas and two independent receiver modules, while the system continuously monitors two backup frequencies alongside the main transmission. When interference is detected, it switches to an open band automatically, without an audio gap and without the musician doing anything, which matters at festivals with heavy Wi-Fi traffic, IEM systems, and other 2.4 GHz devices all running in the same venue at once.

Power and tuning built into the pedalboard

The SB904 lithium-ion battery delivers up to 12 hours on a single charge, and a 15-minute quick charge adds 1.5 hours of playing time if the battery runs low right before a set. Charging happens over USB-C, either in the transmitter or directly on the front of the receiver, without unplugging the pedalboard from its power. The 1/4" true bypass input lets you switch to a wired instrument at any moment without pulling the receiver out of the signal chain.
