Prism Sound Atlas is a USB audio interface with 8 microphone preamps, 2 instrument inputs, 2 headphone outputs, 10 digital inputs and outputs, Overkillers limiters on each analog channel, and a built-in digital mixer.
The multi-channel audio interface Prism Sound Atlas is designed for both personal and professional use by musicians, composers, sound engineers, producers, recording studios, and post-production facilities. Atlas is ideal for recording, mixing, multitracking, sound layering, mastering, and analog summing.
Eight analog and up to 10 digital input channels are available to the DAW through the audio drivers of the connected computer. Eight analog and up to 10 digital output channels, as well as headphone stereo outputs, allow for a total of 20 different channels to be reproduced. For monitoring in headphones or through main outputs, each output pair can optionally be controlled by the built-in DSP mixer. All analog inputs are electronically balanced, with an automatic unbalanced mode. Analog outputs are electronically balanced with "initial loading," meaning the level is maintained if one "leg" is grounded.
Optional digital interfaces (Pro Tools | HDX and AES3 options) can be connected to Atlas via the multi-channel MDIO slot. The presence of the MDIO slot also means that in the future, Atlas will be able to work with new digital interfaces, as well as existing ones that are currently unavailable as an option.
Atlas is compatible with Windows (Vista and above) and Mac OS 10.4.11 and above. After setup using a computer, the interface can operate autonomously using ADAT, S/PDIF, or AES3 I/O interfaces.
