MOTU 828x is a professional audio interface with Thunderbolt and USB connectivity, offering 28 inputs, 30 outputs, support for up to 192 kHz, two mic preamps, ADAT optical, S/PDIF, Word Clock, and a built-in CueMix FX digital mixer with DSP effects.

The 828x is one of MOTU’s best-selling and award-winning interfaces, now upgraded with next-gen connectivity and exceptional I/O flexibility. It features two high-quality mic/guitar inputs with +48V phantom power, eight balanced analog inputs and outputs via TRS jacks, XLR main outputs, dual ADAT ports (up to 16 channels), S/PDIF, MIDI, and Word Clock I/O. A direct signal path before A/D conversion allows outboard processing of mic channels, while the 828x’s hardware limiter offers up to 12 dB of headroom above digital zero. The CueMix FX mixer enables zero-latency monitoring, EQ, compression, and reverb—all without taxing your computer's CPU. The unit also functions in standalone mode, acting as a full-featured digital mixer.
