Mackie ProFX6v3+ is a 6-channel analog studio and recording mixer with a built-in USB-C audio interface, bidirectional Bluetooth, and an upgraded GigFX+ effects engine – the Plus revision over the standard ProFX6v3 adds a colour LCD display, three dedicated recording modes, and Bluetooth with Mix Minus for podcast and live interview workflows.
Two Onyx mic preamps with up to 60 dB of gain and an EIN of –126 dBu (at 150 Ω) form the analog core. Channels 1–2 each carry a 2-band EQ (±15 dB at 80 Hz and 12 kHz), a 100 Hz low-cut filter (18 dB/oct.), one-button compression, a Hi-Z switch for direct instrument connection, and +48V phantom power. Channels 3/4 and 5/6 accept stereo line sources, with a 1/8-inch stereo mini-jack input on channel 5/6 for phone or media player connection.
Three recording modes and feedback-free loopback
The USB-C 2x4 interface runs at up to 24-bit/192 kHz and offers three switchable recording modes. Standard captures the full main mix including GigFX+ processing. Interface records channels 1–2 dry, bypassing effects – useful when tracking vocals or instruments for post-processing in the DAW. Loopback combines the mixer signal with computer audio in a single stream, eliminating feedback during live streams and allowing performers to play over DAW backing tracks without an external audio router. Latency-free direct monitoring includes a dedicated blend control between the analog input feed and the DAW return, operating independently of the active recording mode.
Bluetooth with Mix Minus and on-screen FX editing
The bidirectional Bluetooth channel handles both music playback and phone call integration with Mix Minus – the remote caller hears the mix without their own voice returned, which removes echo from podcast recordings and live phone-in interviews without additional processing. The GigFX+ engine provides 12 user-editable effect presets covering reverbs, delays, choruses, and more, with parameter editing and preset saving directly on the full-colour LCD in real time. Waveform OEM recording software is included.
