Joranalogue Step 8
Joranalogue Step 8 is a multifunctional analog register with 8 signal tracking/sampling cells. It represents a new type of modular block combining the capabilities of a sequencer, switch, counter, shift register, and much more.
At its core is a 1-to-8 analog switch controlling eight precision voltage sampling and storage circuits. Each cell has its own attenuated output and logic signal output. LEDs display the status of each step in real-time.
The switch can be sequentially controlled by the built-in 8-step counter or addressed directly via control voltage. Advanced circuitry solutions ensure a highly transparent path with low noise, distortion, and drift.
Additional features include the ability to disable inactive cells, pause the counter, reset or change its direction, and shift the register content at each step. The "scan" output allows using Step 8 as a sequencer or a source of addressable voltages.
Experimenters can explore other applications: configurable CV conversion, articulation control, clock division, wave shaping, downsampling, and much more. Step 8 opens up a new world of sequential synthesis.
