Heritage Audio Herchild Model 660 is a meticulously designed tube compressor featuring 4 operating modes, 1 x XLR Input, 1 x XLR Output, 8 x 6BA6 w/ 5749 tubes, 3 x ECC83 tubes, and rack mounting capability.

Herchild Model 660 from Heritage Audio is a Variable-Mu compressor that reproduces the unique tone of the original Fairchild compressor. The analog circuitry of the device is based on 11 tubes and 5 transformers, which will give your tracks a signature sound. It produces a clean, transparent sound without artifacts or pumping effects and can create a more noticeable, dense effect with added harmonics when compressed harder.

Six attack and release times have been precisely duplicated in the TIME CONST section, as well as its fully tube-based side chain circuitry for precise control. There is now access to a progressive ratio with DC THRESHOLD, which is a unique curve adjustment combining ratio control and knee. It can be continuously adjusted from hard limiting to very smooth and transparent compression settings. The SC FILTER is a sidechain filter with 4 selectable frequencies to reduce the impact of lower frequencies on the signal.
