Focusrite RedNet AM2 — a compact stereo monitoring unit for Dante networks, combining a headphone amplifier and balanced XLR line outputs wherever an extra listening point is needed.
A 2-channel Dante receiver on the Audinate Ultimo chipset and precise D/A conversion at 44.1-96 kHz deliver over 118 dB of dynamic range on both the line and headphone outputs. A single Ethernet cable with PoE power, or the included DC supply, carries power, audio, clock and remote control, and a built-in Gigabit switch across the two etherCON connectors lets you daisy-chain another Dante device without a separate hub.
Headphone and line monitoring wherever the interface can't reach
The headphone amp drives loads up to 600 Ohms at substantial output levels, so AM2 works as well next to a drum kit on stage or at a backline monitoring point as it does in a control room — adding one Ethernet cable instead of running another headphone cable across the building. XLR line outputs up to 24 dBu, with a switchable 0 dBFS reference level of +18 or +24 dBu, drive any monitor or power amplifier, and the threaded bush in the base lets the unit mount directly on a mic stand.
Quick level control and a safe way to kill the signal
Two large knobs adjust headphone and line output levels independently, and an illuminated mute button instantly kills the signal feeding an external power amp or monitors without reaching for Dante Controller. The signal indicator shows red at 0 dBFS, orange at -6 dBFS and green at -42 dBFS on each channel, giving a quick level check without connecting a laptop to the network.
