Stepped gain up to 60 dB plus a continuously variable +20 dB trim give 80 dB of headroom on the mic input and 30 dB on line, and a switchable insert on every channel lets you patch in a compressor or EQ ahead of conversion — including when the unit runs digitally with the ADN8 card, where the analogue outputs double as insert sends.
