The EVE Audio SC203 Pair is a highly advanced, ultra-compact desktop studio monitor system configured in a Master/Slave array. Specially engineered for professional mixing engineers, traveling producers, and multimedia enthusiasts working within strictly limited desktop spaces, this tiny setup compromises absolutely nothing in terms of acoustic fidelity. It delivers a phenomenally transparent soundstage, exceptional detail resolution, and utilizes an innovative passive radiator design that creates a tight, dynamic low-end response entirely disproportionate to the speakers' tiny physical footprint.
The acoustic brilliance of the EVE Audio SC203 stems from its highly specialized, miniaturized transducer technology. Low and mid frequencies are masterfully handled by a custom 3-inch woofer featuring a glass-fiber coated paper cone. Rather than utilizing a traditional bass-reflex tube, the SC203 incorporates a rear-mounted passive radiator to achieve an impressive low-frequency extension down to 62 Hz, physically eliminating all annoying port turbulence noise. For the high frequencies, EVE developed the µAMT (Micro Air Motion Transformer)—a scaled-down version of their legendary folded-ribbon tweeters, providing incredibly airy, highly transparent highs up to 21 kHz with virtually zero listening fatigue.
The system operates on an intelligent Master/Slave architecture. All vital electronics, including the high-resolution DSP, premium Burr-Brown converters, and four highly efficient 30W PWM (Class-D) amplifiers (powering each tweeter and woofer individually), are housed securely inside the right "Master" monitor. This master unit sends a cleanly amplified signal to the left speaker via an included proprietary ribbon cable. Furthermore, the Master speaker boasts exceptionally flexible connectivity, including analog RCA, digital optical (TOSLink), and a direct USB input. The sleek front-panel SMART-knob grants instant control over volume, High/Low-shelf filters, and specific positioning presets (Flat, Desk, Console), which perfectly complement the included rubber FlexiPads for precise angling.
