Waves SOUNDGRID External Power Supply Unit for IONIC Stageboxes is a dedicated external power supply designed to provide redundant power for Waves IONIC 16 and IONIC 24 stageboxes. It lets you add a backup PSU so that if the internal power supply in the stagebox fails or loses mains power, the external unit seamlessly keeps the IONIC running without interrupting audio.

The unit can function both as a redundant backup and as the sole power source for the stagebox, which is especially useful when IONIC is mounted in tight racks or touring cases where access to the rear AC inlet is limited. When the external PSU is used as the only power source, the IONIC status LED indicates this operating mode so you can quickly verify the power state.

Waves External Power Supply Unit uses a secure 4‑pin XLR connector to feed DC power to the IONIC 16/24 stageboxes. Its wide 100–240 VAC input range makes it suitable for international touring and installations, while the 24 V / 150 W DC output provides ample, stable power for the stagebox even under heavy system load.
