Cutting through a dense live mix or a heavy tracking session without raising the overall volume is a persistent challenge for guitarists. The WA-TS Tube Squealer addresses frequency masking directly by introducing a heavily optimized midrange bump. Driven by the authentic JRC4558D op-amp, the circuit provides asymmetrical clipping that mirrors the natural compression of driven preamp tubes. This specific EQ profile ensures that lead lines and complex chords sit perfectly in their own sonic pocket, standing out clearly between the bass guitar and cymbals without requiring aggressive post-EQ.

Tightening High-Gain Amplifiers

Tracking modern metal or heavy rock rhythm parts with extreme amp distortion frequently results in a muddy, uncontrolled low-end response. The WA-TS serves as an indispensable pre-gain tightening tool. By rolling the Drive knob completely back and maximizing the Level control, the pedal naturally shaves off muddy sub-frequencies while hitting the amplifier's input stage with a massive signal boost.
